Earlier this year while waiting on the Lord, He quickened my heart with an invitation to take His Hand and walk with Him, Breath by breath, Step by step, Hand in hand and to live in and from this holy aligning and oneness. God has been speaking and bringing me deeper into this holy journey of truly desiring Him and living from holy union.
There is a beckoning of the Lord, even as He spoke through His servant Paul in the book of Acts, ‘to live and move and have our being in Him’. (Acts 17:28)
As we wait on Him and walk with Him, He imparts within our hearts and spirits the precious gift of hunger. A holy hunger, to ever thirst and long for Him, where the world grows dim and the radiance of His Presence is that which we feed upon.
I hear Him whisper in my quiet time – ‘eat My flesh and drink My blood’ – eat and meditate, eat and wait – to become like Me. For there is no other way, religious acts will not bring about this transformation, only from holy communion and intimate union can there be lasting eternal change within.
May we have no other pursuit but that His Nature and Character would be revealed in and through our lives.
My whole desire has been to be a messenger of His Heart. I know I cannot fully be that without Knowing Him in a deeper way from being with Him.
He longs that we might desire Him more than anything this world has to offer.
To pursue Him, letting nothing else distract us or pull us off course, focused and steady from a heart of devoted love.
To respond when He awakens us, or whispers to stay a little longer.
To be available to Him, listening and aware of His slightest nudge or nod.
May we cultivate a steady perseverance through the trials, storms, sufferings, sickness, loss, betrayal, all that challenges the soul and yet shapes our inner man with His might and by His counsel.
In the night season to not be moved by soulish responses, but to hold fast to what He has revealed. To wait in steadfast hope and enduring faith, for what He has spoken in His written Word and in His personal whispered word to our hearts. The anchor of hope in Him alone and in His Steadfastness when all is shaken and our natural eyes cannot see.
Yet the eyes of my heart are fixated upon The Promise – Emmanuel – God with us!
There is a holy discipline, not born out of trying to earn His love or favor or blessings, but from a pursuit to be holy because He is Holy! And that becomes our nature from being with Him and His nature being poured into ours from our times of being with Him, heart to Heart.
That His Presence would truly become our daily habitation, not just a song we sing, but a living reality!
To become His mature bride, adorned in holy love and sacrificial devotion, whatever He may ask, that our hearts would resound ‘yes’!
He alone is to be our pursuit!
The joy and privilege of the journey of becoming a messenger of His Heart!
