HOW BIG ARE HIS WINGS?
Psalm 91:4
“He covers us with His pinions and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge, His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler”.
Psalm 91:4
“He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”
A few years ago I was meditating upon this passage, waiting with and on the Lord for Him to speak to my heart afresh. I asked Him to bring me into this reality of being under His feathers.
Father what is this truly like to live in and under the shelter of Your wings?
I waited for some sensation or feeling or revelation – instead I fell asleep.
I awoke and said, this can’t be – I need to ‘get something’.
Try again.
Again, I fell asleep.
I realized that I was in His Shelter and the place of total safety – under His Feathers.
It is there we can sleep, rest, become totally at peace and vulnerable – able to live, walk, and sleep under His Wings.
He had brought me by His Spirit, in response to my heart’s sincere cry, into His Realm of Divine Rest and invited me to journey with Him to live in and from Divine Rest!
The journey is forever, exploring and discovering His Rest as our daily reality, where we truly live our lives from, ever deeper we abide, we breathe and live in and under His Wings.
How big are His wings?
How far do they spread?
How much will they cover?
He wrapped the world in them and called mankind His own
Declaring, ‘For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’ (Rom. 10:13KJV)
He wrapped the world in mercy and grace and gave access to the ‘whosoevers’!
His Heart reveals the breadth of His Wings – His Wings are as big as His Heart – all encompassing. Nothing can penetrate His Wings!
Wings of the Great Eagle Who flew into the land of darkness and carried us out on His Wings of Love into the land of Living Light.
Wings of God – the Golden Eagle – blinding the enemy.
Bringing us into His Glory Realm of Love & Light!
We become hidden in His Light and Abounding in His Love!
Deuteronomy 32:10-11 NAS
“He found him in a desert land,
And in the howling waste of a wilderness;
He encircled him, He cared for him,
He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
That hovers over its young,
He spread His wings and caught them,
He carried them on His pinions.”
