THAT WE MAY TRULY LIVE

 

^{John 4:21-23 The Message}
 “Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter.
^23-24 “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”
²⁵ The woman said, “I don’t know about that. I do know that the Messiah is coming. When he arrives, we’ll get the whole story.”
²⁶ “I am he,” said Jesus. “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further.”
²⁷ Just then his disciples came back. They were shocked. They couldn’t believe he was talking with that kind of a woman. No one said what they were all thinking, but their faces showed it.
 
MASTER – WHO’S THIS WOMAN – WE HAVE FOOD AND BREAD –
DISDAIN – NOT HOLY LOOKS
SHE SAW IT ALL
BUT THE MASTER’S GAZE
            THE ONE SEARCHING FOR TRUE WORSHIPPERS
            AT THE TOWN WELL – SHE WAS THIRSTY
BEFORE HER STOOD THE LIVING WATER
SEEING WITH THOSE LASER EYES – RIGHT INSIDE
EVERY SIN – EVERY FAILURE
            SEEING HER HEART’S DESIRE
            SEEING MAN’S BOUNDARIES
            ENEMY’S CAPTIVITY
            FENCED IN – HELD FAST
BREAKING IT DOWN – BREAKING IT OFF – BREAKING THROUGH
BREAKER ANOINTING – GENTLE STRENGTH – DISMANTLING
SNAP – CRASH – BOOM
 
“COME, SEE A MAN WHO KNEW ALL ABOUT THE THINGS I DID, WHO KNOWS ME INSIDE OUT’.”  John 4:28
COME AND SEE AND HEAR
DRINKING OF HIM
            SHE RAN WITH A CUP OF WATER FOR OTHERS TO DRINK, SEE AND LIVE
 
HOLY, ABANDONED, RECKLESS, RADICAL LOVE
HER LACK OF VALUE – AND SELF -WORTH –
            DISAMANTLING –
            DID SHE FEEL IT HAPPENING OR WAS IT
            SUDDENLY
WHAT’S THIS – I DON’T HAVE TO GO TO A PLACE OF WORSHIP
            I DON’T HAVE TO BE FROM A CERTAIN TRIBE – PEOPLE- BACKGROUND
            SPIRIT AND TRUTH – NOT A PLACE – BUT A WAY
I AM THE WAY
I AM THE TRUTH
I AM THE LIFE – HE SAID
            WAY OF WORSHIP
            TRUTH IN WORHSIP
            LIFE FROM WORHSIP
            THE ‘WAY OF LIFE’
 
NO MORE COMPARTMENTS!
            ENLARGE THE PLACE OF YOUR DWELLING
I’M BREAKING IT ALL DOWN
            EVERY NICHE AND CORNER
            YOU DON’T NEED THEM ANYMORE
FATHER IS SEEKING THOSE WHO WILL WORSHIP HIM IN
            SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH
NOT MAN’S PRESCRIBED WAYS
NOT RELIGIOUS SPIRITS LIMITATIONS
            MASKED/DISGUISED
            DO THIS – BUT DON’T DO THAT
IT’S WHAT – I – GOD WANT – AND I WILL HAVE IT – YES I WILL HAVE IT
I’M BREAKING IT ALL DOWN – BREAKING IT ALL OFF
ALL THE FEARS AND DECEPTIONS – EVERY UNHOLY LIMITATION –
HOLDING YOU BACK
FROM LAVISHING ME WITH YOUR LOVE
FROM WORSHIPPING ME WITH ABANDOMENT
 
NOT FOR MAN’S APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL
            WHO TOLD YOU THAT?
WAS THAT ME?
HOW COULD IT BE
REMEMBER THE WELL
REMEMBER THE TOMB – EMPTY
DID I NOT STOP –
            BECAUSE OF THE TEARS OF HOLY INTIMACY
IN THE MIDDLE OF ASCENDING
            I STOPPED
ALL OF TIME – STOPPED WITH ME
            ANGELS WERE PEERING OVER THE BALCONY OF HEAVEN
            FATHER WATCHED – HE SAID IT WAS OKAY
            NOT JUST OKAY – BUT PRIORITY
            FOR ALL MAN TO READ
            HIS PRIORITY MAIL
            HIS URGENT MAIL
            RECORDED FOR ALL TIME AND ETERNITY
            HOLY SCRIBES WRITING – ETCHED IN TIME
            HE’S COMING – HE STOPPED!!!
            WHAT’S THIS – ONE WOMAN CRYING –
                        WHERE IS HE?  HAVE YOU SEEN HIM?
            LIKE THE WOMAN IN SONG OF SONGS – WHERE IS HE
                        HAVE YOU SEEN MY LOVER, MY FAIR ONE?
                        ONE GLANCE OF HER EYE STOPPED/RAVISHED
                        HIS HEART
            IT HASN’T CHANGED
                        HER GLANCE – HER CRY – CAPTURED HIM
            HE COULDN’T RESIST – HE HAD TO RESPOND
            THIS WASN’T A CASUAL VISITOR
                        IT WAS A WORSHIPPER – ONE WHO LOVED BEING
                           WITH HIM
                        HOW CAN I GO ON – SHE WAS NOT HIDING IN FEAR
                           OF HER LIFE
                        BUT RUNNING TO FIND HIM – RISKING IT ALL
                        EDICTS/SEALS OF THE EARTHLY KING COULDN’T
                           STOP HER
                        HOW CAN IT WHEN YOU KNOW PERSONALLY THE
                           KING OF KINGS
                        HOLY EDICTS
            THE ONE WHO LIKE IN S.O.S. – SET ME AS A SEAL UPON
               YOUR HEART
                        LOVE AS STRONG AS DEATH – WATERS CAN’T QUENCH
            NOTHING COULD STOP IT
            KISS OF LIFE – RELEASES
                        FREEDOM FROM FEAR OF DEATH
            THAT WE MAY TRULY LIVE
