The Landing Strip of Our Hearts
And it will be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean will not travel on it,
But it will be for him who walks that way,
And fools will not wander on it. (Isaiah 35:8 NAS)
Will we give Him a landing strip, a place in our hearts where HE can come and remain.
A place of holiness – the highway of holiness – that runs straight through our hearts and souls, our very being.
A place of absolute surrender, moment by moment, living for the purpose of bringing pleasure to His Heart.
A posture of hands held out, grasping nothing, clinging to no one – totally reaching for Him alone. Hands held out that say without words – You are my Provider – You bring forth every provision for the words You have spoken over our lives. You bring along our sides the very ones we are meant to journey with as we wait before You in total dependence upon You alone.
In this hour we find ourselves upon this earth, there is in my opinion, one true answer –
Christ Alone and His Coming to a people who have no agenda but His. He writes upon our hearts His holy strategies and breathes within our spirits His Breath of Resurrection Power and sends us out as those who have already been crucified with Him, to release heavenly mandates upon the earth. There is nothing in it for us, it is all for His Glory!
The simplicity of devotion, the abandonment of our ways for His Ways and His Highway of Holiness. A people whose hands are clean and whose hearts are pure before Him. Daily consecration of their lives – focused and fixed, He is their reward!
They hear the cry of the people and the cry of the land, they hear the desires of their Father and say yes, knowing the cost, the price, the sacrifice involved, still they say yes. This is why they were created, this is why they live, this is who they are. Their identity has been settled within, divinely loved, owned and possessed by the Great I Am, who is their Father Above. There is nothing He cannot ask of them.
Co-crucified, co-risen, co-laboring with the One Who says we are His!
Humility with strength – the meekness of our King within – moment by moment we live aware of this amazing God with us – Emmanuel – pouring forth His grace for all He has called us to for such a time as this!
