DO YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF PROMISE
Do you hear the sound of madness of the day and hour we live in? Confusion rules the day
Leading men and women far from the PATH OF HOLY LIFE & LIGHT of Father Above
Dead eyes – hopeless hearts – frightened faces – see the masks put on to disguise the truth, the reality of what is hidden deep inside
They dare not utter – too alarming – there is no hope nor answer
The world seems to be spinning out of control
Do you hear the conversations of doom and gloom at the coffee shops, lunch breaks, dinner tables
Darkness and dismay fill their days and nights
Do you hear the sound of dread, the alarm beckons – awake to another day –
yet they do not hear the birds song nor see the glory of the sunrise
Do you hear the sound of boring, mundane lives going through motions of daily life – existing – the sound of no future and no hope –
Endless monotony of day by day living
Do you hear the sound of the morning news and the evening discourse
Another murder, another financial collapse, another……..
Hearts sink – tears seem to all be gone – turn the channel to entertain your soul
But it is on ‘empty’
Momentary moments of laughter and fun – but they are not lasting – they disappear like an early morning dew – mist
Where is the Sound of Hope
Where is the Sound of Gladness
Where is the Sound of Promise
It was not very different in Mary’s day – poverty, hungry lepers, widows and orphan’s cries, Roman rule, injustice, criminals, murderers –
But there was a Sound that suddenly came – The Sound of Promise!
Do you hear what I hear – do you see what I see –
A child has been born – His Name is Emmanuel – God with us!
And He promises Eternal Salvation, Future and A Hope and longs to kiss our hearts with His Kiss of Mercy and His Kiss of Peace!

“The King-God rules with eternity at His side
This is the One who gives His strength and might to His people.
This is the Lord giving His kiss of peace”
